Approach

Mindful communication (external website, opens in a new tab) is a practical skill to me: observing without judging, naming needs and making specific requests. I use inclusive language because the words we choose show who we include.

At home, I build and run smart home systems: Home Assistant (external website, opens in a new tab), Zigbee and Matter, ESP32 and, previously, Arduino, passively cooled computers and my own servers. My solar power monitoring and control also run there.
Ten years representing parents in Thuringia (external website, opens in a new tab) and on the federal parents’ council (external website, opens in a new tab) (2006 – 2016). Thuringian volunteering certificate, 2008, Salzmann Award, 2012.
Sport: judo, yoga, belly dancing and volleyball.
I look after the website for Power Fight Club Ilmenau (external website, opens in a new tab) and am an honorary member. I also belong to Ilmenau university sports club (external website, opens in a new tab).
